Skilled Berber artisans build each piece by repurposing worn flatweave rugs, a practice Asala Living pioneered in Marrakech. First, they cut and match the sturdiest kilim sections. Then they hand-sew the panels together with strong wool thread, so the seams stay tight through years of daily use. Because the wool is naturally dense, the pouf holds its shape and resists wear.
