Burgundy Weaving Written in Amazigh Signs
Calm, rich and quietly graphic, this burgundy floor sofa draws its character from a Berber kilim. A heathered wine ground shifts gently in tone across the seat. Over it, ivory glyphs appear in loose rows: zigzags, diamonds, checkered crosses and stylised figures. No two pillows show the same arrangement.
Asala Living pioneered this concept in 2022, transforming handmade Moroccan rugs into floor sofas. Kilims are flatweave textiles, made with a weft-faced weave instead of knotted pile. That structure keeps the surface thin, firm and lightweight. Each glyph echoes the visual language of Amazigh weaving. You can order it as a cover only or complete with filling to suit your comfort.
Pair it with ivory walls and natural rugs, or let it anchor a terracotta-toned room. It suits indoor and outdoor living, from a lounge to a covered terrace. Because this burgundy floor sofa is Ready-to-Go, it ships right away.
